When you add a new ebook or open a Book Card, Alfa checks if there are books in the database with the same ISBN and it yes, you'll see the notification in the bottom.
Besides, the duplicate control is performed during Scan when you add multiple books at once.
But you can also remove duplicates from your database using the Library Explorer.
If you open the Duplicates section in the Library Explorer, you'll see all duplicates by Title, ISBN, Book file or file's MD5 hash. Having listed the duplicated books, you can select unwanted records and delete them.
