Alfa Ebooks Manager 5: OPDS Web Server, Multiple files per book, Audio Player




Dear users!
We are glad to introduce you the new version Alfa Ebooks Manager 5. In this release we fixed some bugs and added a bunch of new usefull features. Here is the list of them:

OPDS Web Server
From now you can access your library, browse, search, view and download your books via LAN or Wi-Fi from any computer or mobile device. You can use a browser or one of ereading apps that support OPDS standard.

Multiple files per book
Now you can link two or several ebook files to single book in the database. This is useful for books that have several parts, or copies in different formats, or audiobooks.




Edit metadata in PDF, EPUB, FB2, MOBI, AZW ebooks
The older version allowed to edit metadata only in PDF books. Now you can edit metadata in most popular ebook formats.

Audio Player
If you use Alfa to manage audiobook collection, you can listen to these audiobooks right in Alfa. By the way, you can use our free ebook reader AlfaReader to open and read PDF, EPUB and TXT files.

3D audiobooks
Book library views and 3D views now support audiobook DVD models.

Library of Congress integration
Largest US book library Library of Congress now can be used to update book data. The book card in Alfa now contains 3 fields dedicated to LoC.

Merge Books
This feature allow to merge books and keep all ebook files in one book record. It's available either in Scan operation or in the database.

Create covers from any ebook page (PDF, DJVU), Retrieve ToC from file, New version autocheck, New interface languages (Currently Alfa is available on 17 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Czech, Turkish, Greek, Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Indonesian, Arabic and Farsi)
