You can open the Book Properties window by double-clicking any book in the Books View or selecting the appropriate command in the context menu.
The Book Properties window contains the general book data (Cover Thumbnail, 5-Star Book Rating, Book Title and Subtitle) and detailed book information organized in the following tabs:
- Book details - book Genre, Publish date, Publisher, Series, ISBN, Dimensions etc.
- Authors - where you can add one ore several authors
- Library - contains book history in the database
- Description - any book description in Rich Text format
- Contents - book's Table of contents
- File - allows to link file to the book and perform various operations on it
- Front (Back) Cover - allows to link cover picture to the book and perform various operations on it
The Book Properties window toolbar contains the following tools:
- Update book parameters from the Web
- Split Title and Subtitle (this is useful if you update books from Amazon)
- Calculate ISBN-10 from ISBN-13
- Calculate ISBN-13 from ISBN-10
- View properties of PDF file
- Retrieve ISBN from the file
Batch editing of book properties
Book parameters that are set by lookups (accept Authors) can be edited for multiple books at once:
1. Select the books for which you want to set another Genre, Publisher or Series
2. Open Books -> Edit Books menu
3. Select needed Genre, Publisher or Series in the opened window
4. Start the replacement process
