This is the best program I have found so far, but there are a few things I would like to see in version 2
1. Ability to import metadata from filename. (Big one for me.)
2. See what is currently on Ebook reader and storage card with an easy way to transfer Ebooks over to.
3. Input the number of the book in series.
4. Update multiple Ebooks from web at the same time.
5. A way to list the Ebooks in catalog that are or are not in directory/drive listed.

Hi, thanks for your kind words and ideas!
Please give us some more details:
1. What metadata you want to import from filename?
2. You can use Alfa Ebooks Manager to manage files on your ebook reader's SD card
3. What is "the number of the book"?
4. You can do it using Books -> Web Update menu
5. You can list the ebooks in a certain folder/drive using the left tree-view Location. You can also list books without file using the left tree-view Books without File
Sorry for the confusion.
1. Currently you can rename a file using a template in the properties window using the metadata information. Basically, I would like to see another feature that would reverse this and import the metadata when scanning for new books or updating existing books by creating a template in the options by getting the information from the filename itself.
Example: "author" - "series" - "title"
2. You can use the file manager to copy and move files to your SD card, but you cannot see what is on the reader itself or the SD card when it is in the reader, unless I am doing something wrong.
3. What I am referring to is if a set of books is in a series, then where does the book fit in the series. Example (Piers Anthony Xanth series has over 20 books, how do we know book 3 is book 3?) We could place the number after the series and make it a separate series, but then you would only have 1 book in each series.
4. Web Update only works if you have the ISBN number. The only way to update a book is to go into properties and use "Update the book from the Web". You can only do 1 book at a time this way.
5. I missed this, but it doesn't work properly. If you have a Ebook and it gets moved to another directory, then it says it is still there. If you go into the Ebook's properties and look under the File Tab, it says that it does not exist, but when you click on Queries-Book without, it is not listed.
I hope this helps. Keep up the good work.
1. ok, good idea with template builder
2. you want to manage books on the ebooks reader over USB connection?
3. ok
4. because automatic web update basing on book title gives quite inaccurate results. The only way to update books automatically - is by ISBN
5. we'll check this issue. But if you move ebooks using Alfa Ebooks Manager - everything works fine
1. Thanks
2. That is what I was interested in doing, but just something to think about.
3. Thanks
4. Ok, makes sense.
5. You are right about using Ebooks Manager. It works just fine, but if you have the ebooks stored on a disk or removable storage device, it doesn't recognize it.
I've been having the same issue with #5. Even though some files are missing or deleted (which I can see on the Book Properties->File menu), the "Books without" query gives no results.
Has there been any fix for this yet?
