Renaming PDF Files

Hi everyone,

I am trying to rename my pdf's to the first ISBN number using the rename tool, but when I select the books I wish to rename and click rename files nothing happens. I would have thought it was going to show me old and new path but the result window is completely empty.

Thank you in advance for your help.

By the way is their supposed to be no inbuilt help file

Hi Pieter,
Please, correct me if I understand your wrong:
- you are using the new 1.8 beta version
- you select books that have linked files and open File Manager (Rename tab)
- and the book list in the File Manager is empty
Is that right?

Hi,

No I am using ver 0.7.5. I scan my drive for the books I wish to add than when I have the list I select them all and go to rename files but in the list window down the bottom my selected files do no show so subsequently I can not rename them.

I can do it one by one once they are added to the db but not at the of scanning

ok, now it's clear. You need to save the ebooks to the database first and then rename the files. To save multiple ebooks at once select them and press the Save to DB icon.
