Alfa Ebooks Manager is a free program that allows to organize your electronic and paper books in single e-Library

Disabled features in free version?

Hello,

For some reason, when trying some features, such as adding ebooks after scanning for them, or even when pressing the update button on the main console, I receive a message that reads that this feature is only available in the paid version and asks that I follow to your website, which, even if I wanted to, does not have that option since your product is advertised as free.

Screenshot is here: http://postimage.org/image/jt8wd18zb/

This looks like a bug to me, since this also occurs on the most basic features, thus preventing one from adding any of the scan results to the database.

I may have had previous versions of Alfa Books installed on this computer and later removed. Could that have something to do with it?

I have uninstalled Alfa (without Revo for now) and reinstalled it back up again - with the same results.

I would appreciate an answer as soon as possible and would gladly provide whatever info or logs you may require from me.

Thanks in advance.

Sergei

Hi Sergei,
Besides the free version we provide the paid versions with these features enabled. You can view the comparision table and upgrade to paid version here:

Oh, I see. I wish it was advertised as such, since your homepage says nothing about any payed version, only that your product is free.

Does that mean that the free version does not support ebook cataloging at all? (besides a one-by-one tedious manual creation of book cards and the adding of additional information?). You'd think that this is a rather basic feature that should be enabled.

The free version fully supports ebook cataloging without Scan, Group file management and Web Update
