Clean reinstall

I have already reported that on my computer AEM v.2.5.0.2. does not update from Amazon.com. Therefore I downgraded to v.2.4.0.2. After the downgrade the update from Amazon were fine. However I tried v.2.5.0.2. again after being warned from you that the newest version updates from Amazon well. But the newest version still hasn't worked well on my machine. I again downgraded to v.2.4.0.2. but this time Amazon update does not work on 2.4.0.2. either: the progress bar in the "Web Update" window increases but the update does not take place. In fact it works but only after I push Start button 20 or more times in the "Web Update" window.

Now I want to do the clean reinstall - I want to completely remove AEM (with all the data and settings too) and then reinstall it. However I noticed that removing the software from "Add or Remove Programs" does not remove program settings since reinstalled program remembers settings from the previous installation.

How can I do CLEAN reinstallation? I need the procedure to remove all the program settings. Are there any registry entries?

Hi,
Alfa doesn't write anything to registry. You need to uninstall it from the control panel and delete the settings folder. After that your computer is clean

But it's very strange that the same Amazon plug-in doesn't on 2.4 and 2.5. These versions have no difference in handling web search

After removing the SW and deleting files in the "...\Local Settings\Application Data" folder and then reinstalling the SW Web updates from the Amazon plug-in still do not work! It does not get ANY data from the Amazon. However sometimes it does get the data if I press Start button 30 or more times...

I have noticed that "Add from Web..." ("Web Search" window) also does not give any results when querying AMAZON on ISBN-13 number -> I have to press SEARCH button (in the "Web Search" window) many times (20 - 30) in order to get result from Amazon.

Other plug-ins work well but Amazon is the most important to me because it gives me good GENRE field.

Any suggestions what should I do?
