When updating book data from online databases ("Web Update..." button) AEM updates all books regardless if they are selected or not. Previously, in older versions (before 2.4.0.2), AEM updated only those titles which were selected.
That problem would not necessarily be a big one but the real problem is loss of functionality: previously after the update AEM used to AUTOMATICALLY SELECT those titles which were not updated in the first step.
For example, in older versions (before v. 2.4.0.2) I select 10 books and set update to Amazon.com. If AEM finds only 6 books in the Amazon's database then 4 books from the original list were AUTOMATICALLY SELECTED so I could then set update to another online database (e.g. Google books). Now, in the versions 2.4.0.2. and 2.5.0.2. that does not work. We lost functionality of AUTOMATIC SELECTION.

Yes that's because we moved from checkboxes to traditional item selection. We have this suggestion in the to-do list and will realize it in the next updates
